Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 23319 p4p, 23281 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 48 - 68 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 64 - 54 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Buktot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Buktot closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Buut quickly recovers to half guard.
Buut trying to hold on to Buktot's head to control him but Buktot postures up.
Buut is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Buktot shoots for a double leg takedown but Buut sprawls well. He's pushed Buktot's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Buut replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Buktot blocks it well.

That was a close round but I would say that Dawindi Buktot will probably get the nod.

Buktot tries to score a power double leg takedown but Buut sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Buktot somewhat.

Buktot leaves Buut with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Buut shoots in looking for a takedown but Buktot manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Buut's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
