Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Leao (ranked 573 p4p, 464 weight class) and Axmed Abdullah (ranked 77 p4p, 64 weight class). Leandro Leao had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leandro Leao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Axmed Abdullah !
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdullah ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Leao will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Abdullah has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Leao lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

After the fight, Leandro Leao was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
