Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alfea Rignold (ranked 3971 p4p, 3429 weight class) and Kyle Dake (ranked 319 p4p, 291 weight class). The key to victory for Alfea Rignold has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alfea Rignold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kyle Dake!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rignold fails with a takedown attempt.
Dake is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rignold.
Dake with the counter takedown but Rignold avoids it easily.
A swing and a miss from Rignold.
And Dake tries to counter it with a takedown but Rignold pushes his down on his head and steps out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Danga de danga de dang - Rignold scores with a four punch combination!
Rignold shoots for a double leg takedown but Dake sprawls well. He's pushed Rignold's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dake is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Rignold closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dake quickly recovers to half guard.
Rignold throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Rignold feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rignold is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dake can do to turn this around?
Dake regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Rignold.

Rignold bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dake's head backwards.
Rignold walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dake checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Rignold shoots in for a double leg but Dake sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Rignold has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

I would just about give that final round to Kyle Dake.
I think Dake has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
