Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nirmal Singh (ranked 1912 p4p, 2527 weight class) and Scooter Dahan (ranked 193 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nirmal Singh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Scooter Dahan! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dahan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Singh tries to clinch up. Dahan is looking for the big counter here. Dahan lands a glancing blow to the side of Singh's head. Singh misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Singh tries to clinch up but Dahan circles away and keeps his distance. Dahan darts in looking for a takedown but Singh gets double underhooks and turns Dahan into the cage. Singh misses with the body kick and Dahan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Singh won't be happy with that. Singh is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dahan off and has taken his back! Dahan is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Singh gets his way!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Singh is trying to stick to Dahan's back but Dahan is turning into Singh. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Singh's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dahan. Dahan passes Singh's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dahan wants to pass the guard but Singh is defending well. Dahan not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Singh is trying to control but Dahan passes into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Singh is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dahan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Dahan scoring with punches and elbows. Singh parries the strikes from Dahan easily there. Dahan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Singh to escape.
Singh is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dahan connects with a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dahan is looking to take a break and control but Singh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Singh has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Dahan has knee on belly and moves into mount. Singh tries to hold on but Dahan postures up. Dahan looking to finish Singh with some ground and pound. This is bad for Singh! Singh tries to hold on but Dahan postures up. Singh is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Dahan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Singh sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Dahan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Singh with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Dahan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Singh trying to control here.
Ground and pound from Dahan. Singh is refusing to be controlled, as Dahan sits in half guard. Dahan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dahan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Dahan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Singh does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dahan working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Dahan winds up and cracks Singh with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Singh tries to roll over but Dahan keeps him under control. Singh is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Dahan wants to pass to mount but Singh is defending the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Scooter Dahan dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Singh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dahan as he avoids it easily. Singh is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Singh tries to clinch but Dahan is having none of it. Singh tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Singh tries to close the distance and clinch but Dahan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Dahan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dahan fails to land the takedown. Singh attempts a counter takedown but Dahan avoids it well and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Singh stuffs the takedown attempt from Dahan. Dahan gets slowly back to his feet. Singh thows a leg kick but Dahan checks it and Dahan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Singh's guard. Singh looking for a sweep. Not yet Singh, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dahan is in close to Singh's body, working some short punches and elbows. Scooter Dahan has got the better of the ground game so far. Singh is trying to keep Dahan in close.
Singh keeping moving, preventing Dahan from controlling successfully. Singh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Singh tries to get out of the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dahan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dahan scoring with punches to the head and body. Dahan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Singh dives on top into guard.
Singh got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dahan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Singh has managed to get both his arms back between Dahan's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Singh avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dahan has Singh pulled in close to control his posture. Dahan looking for a guillotine here but Singh defends easily.
Singh controls from within his opponent's guard. Dahan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dahan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Singh trying to control but Dahan is working from the bottom. Singh controlling from the top position. Dahan is looking for a triangle but Singh pushes his legs off easily.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Singh moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dahan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Singh fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nirmal Singh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scooter Dahan. Singh darts in and clinches Dahan up against the cage. Singh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Singh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dahan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Singh somewhat. Dahan unleashes a big counter combination but Singh bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Nirmal Singh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Singh closes the distance looking to clinch and Dahan counters with a nice double leg into guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Scooter Dahan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Dahan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Singh quickly recovers to half guard. Dahan working Singh over with strikes. Dahan is trying to control. Singh wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Singh is controlling Dahan's trapped leg to prevent Dahan from advancing to side control. Singh wants to control but Dahan is keeping busy.

Singh is rocked! Dahan punishing his opponent with strikes. Oh Singh is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Dahan wants to control the pace but Singh is squirming around nicely.

Dahan wants to finish this one by submission but Singh is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Dahan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dahan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Dahan postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Singh badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Dahan around the waist but Dahan pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Dahan is the winner by TKO! Dahan jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
