Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Curtis (ranked 3825 p4p, 3918 weight class) and Gordo Simone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gordo Simone!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simone defending well as Curtis loads up on a big left hand.
Simone drives through and clinches with Curtis against the cage.
Curtis tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Simone tries to pull guard but Curtis forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Simone jumps into guard, dragging Curtis to the mat.

Simone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Curtis defends it easily.

Simone is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Simone is trying to trip Curtis. He has hold of a leg but Curtis is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Simone persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gordo Simone has got the better of the ground game so far.
Simone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Curtis manages to get himself to full guard.
Simone passes Curtis's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Curtis wants to improve his position but Simone is controlling well.
Simone looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Simone frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Simone wants to finish this one by submission but Curtis is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Simone.
Simone controlling the pace for now.
Let's hope that Simone has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Curtis is desperately trying to improve his position but Simone has a good base and remains in mount.

Curtis tries to hold on but Simone postures up.
Simone is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Curtis can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Simone tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Simone manages to capitalize on a mistake by Curtis to take his back!

Simone lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Curtis wants to escape the position.
Simone just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Simone lands strikes to the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gordo Simone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Simone connects with a nice short shot to Curtis's temple.
