This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 88 wins and 118 losses; Tobias Pancake! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Pancake gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Garcia counters by moving into the clinch. Garcia jumps guard but Pancake turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. Garcia manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Garcia seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Garcia has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Garcia's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
