Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nickolas Holt (ranked 2271 p4p, 3909 weight class) and Karter Carey (ranked 260 p4p, 420 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nickolas Holt!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karter Carey!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt throws a right and a left that Carey avoids nicely.
Carey with the counter takedown but Holt avoids it easily.
Nickolas Holt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carey slips a jab and a cross from Holt.
Holt circles away from the clinch attempt.
Holt connects with a looping right hand.
Holt misses with a series of wild punches.
Carey tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Holt misses with a body shot.
Holt throws a leg kick which misses Carey's front leg but catches the back leg as Carey tries to avoid it.
Carey pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Holt defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holt lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Holt looks to land a combination but Carey avoids it well.

Carey tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Holt defends well and Carey ends up having to push Holt into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

and Carey counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Holt manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Holt lands a jab to the head.
Carey shoots for a double leg takedown but Holt sprawls well. He's pushed Carey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nickolas Holt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karter Carey.
Holt looks to land a combination but Carey avoids it well.
Holt throws a combination. Carey tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Carey moves into range and clinches up with Holt.

Carey is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Holt to keep the fight standing.

Carey goes for a takedown in the clinch but Holt prevents it.
Holt wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Carey closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Carey tries to pull guard but Holt holds him up against the cage and eventually Carey drops back down to his feet.
Carey pushes Holt back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
