Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Liu Xan (ranked 24797 p4p, 4153 weight class) and Wayne Martin (ranked 342 p4p, 292 weight class). The key to victory for Liu Xan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Liu Xan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wayne Martin!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xan misses with a looping left.
Martin misses with a jab to the body
enabling Xan to counter with a crisp jab.
Martin shoots in for a double leg but Xan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Xan throws a shot from downtown. Martin moves away and avoids it.
Xan slips a jab and a cross from Martin.
Xan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Martin closes the distance and clinches.
Martin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Xan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Martin.
Martin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Xan is trying to pull guard but Martin has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Xan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Martin walks away with a smile on his face. Xan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Martin doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Xan counter with a right hand.
Liu Xan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wayne Martin.
Martin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Xan pinned against the cage. Xan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
It looked like Xan was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Xan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Xan with a jab.
Martin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Martin walks into a straight right hand from Xan.
Martin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Martin wants to clinch.
Xan tries to bum rush Martin with a series of wild strikes but Martin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Martin has eaten all the pies!
Xan lands a nice shot to the body.
Xan is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Martin dodges the punch combination from Xan.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circle momentarily. Xan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Martin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Xan's waist but Xan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Martin off to one side.
Xan swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Xan swinging wildly here.
Martin unleashes a big counter combination but Xan bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Xan lands a right hook to the body.
Xan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Xan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Xan.
Xan moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Martin throws a right and a left that Xan avoids nicely.
Xan darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A right-left combo lands from Xan.
Xan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Martin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Martin throws a right hand that Xan ducks under and follows up with a left that Xan also avoids with ease.
Xan is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Xan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Martin misses with a body punch
and Xan counters with a straight right hand.
Martin looks winded!
Xan jabs Martin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Xan dips to his left and cracks Martin with an uppercut!
Xan connects with a body shot that sends Martin's belly button to the back.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A shot to the liver by Xan. Beautiful body shot.
Martin tries to clinch
and Xan counters with a right hand to the body.
The crowd cheers as Xan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Martin doesn't seem phased though.
Xan lands a jab-cross combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Xan with a hook.
Xan works the jab nicely.
Martin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Xan to score with a decent uppercut.
A punch lands to the side of Martin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Xan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Martin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Martin has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Xan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Martin tries to clinch but Xan moves out of range.
Xan misses with a series of wild punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Martin misses with a double jab.
Martin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Liu Xan dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Martin looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Xan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Martin forces Xan back against the cage and clinches.
Xan fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Xan jumps guard.
Xan has his feet on Martin's thighs here. He's pushed Martin off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Martin screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Liu Xan!
