Daems's entrance music is jefke is getrouwd. A fine choice. Jefke Daems has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jefke Daems!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pipo Ernesto!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daems lands with a nice combination. Ernesto backs away looking to recover.
Ernesto shoots in but no luck this time.
Ernesto fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Daems attempts a counter takedown but Ernesto avoids it well and moves away.
Daems tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ernesto paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Daems closes the distance and clinches up with Ernesto, looking for a takedown. Daems pushes Ernesto against the cage but Ernesto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Daems fails to land with a series of punches.
Daems scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Daems changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ernesto tries to avoid it but Daems manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ernesto to the ground. Ernesto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ernesto is looking for the choke from the back position but Daems is controlling his hands well.

Daems is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Ernesto has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Daems is on him like a limpet, forcing Ernesto back against the cage.

Ernesto is trying to stick to Daems's back but Daems is turning into Ernesto. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Ernesto's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Daems.
Ernesto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ernesto has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Daems uses from the top position.

Ernesto wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Daems manages to pass to side control.

Daems decides to stand back up.
Daems dives in and grabs Ernesto's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ernesto pushes down on Daems's head and hops out.
Daems closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ernesto circles away.
Jefke Daems is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Daems will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Ernesto counters with a crisp one two that drops Daems! Ernesto thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Daems to his feet! Daems is in big trouble!
Ernesto throws a leg kick which misses Daems's front leg but catches the back leg as Daems tries to avoid it.
Ernesto changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ernesto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Daems, pushing him back against the cage.

Ernesto is trying to trip Daems. He has hold of a leg but Daems is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ernesto persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Daems is trying to maintain the position but Ernesto is very close to passing his half guard.
Ernesto decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Pipo Ernesto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ernesto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
