Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mitch Kingston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chaos Kemppainen!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kemppainen checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Kingston throws a shot from downtown. Kemppainen moves away and avoids it.
Kingston throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kemppainen follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Kemppainen instigates a clinch.
Kingston is trying to break the clinch but Kemppainen has him pressed against the cage.
A short uppercut from Kemppainen.
Kingston is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Kemppainen keeps control of Kingston as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Kingston breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed right hand from Kingston misses the target.
Kingston throws a looping overhand right but Kemppainen ducks down to avoid it.
Kingston throws a jab but it's blocked by Kemppainen.
Kingston avoids the head kick by Kemppainen.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kemppainen! But no joy.
Kemppainen works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

and Kemppainen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Kingston throws a quick counter head kick but Kemppainen was just out of range.
Kingston scores with a jab. Kemppainen acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Kemppainen has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Kemppainen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kingston throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kemppainen counters with a solid body kick.
Kemppainen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kingston manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Kemppainen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kingston has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kemppainen swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Kingston throws a sloppy head kick
and Kemppainen counters with a nice kick to the body.
Kingston throws a right hand that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kingston's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kemppainen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kingston scrambles back to his feet.
Kingston on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Kingston is breathing heavily.
Kemppainen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
An inside leg kick from Kingston misses.
Kemppainen is looking to clinch.
Kemppainen thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kingston if he has to take too many more of those.

Kemppainen has managed to clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Kingston's face as he tries to break the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kemppainen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Kemppainen keeps control of Kingston as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A right handed body shot lands from Kemppainen.
Kingston is trying to break free.

Kemppainen doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kemppainen lands a body punch in the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Kemppainen as the two fighters clinch.
Kemppainen lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kingston.
Kemppainen tries to work over Kingston's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Kemppainen punishes Kingston's body with a nice straight punch.
Kemppainen scores with a jab.

Kemppainen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kingston sprawling to the canvas! Kingston rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kemppainen finish him?!

Kingston is rocked!

It looks like Mitch Kingston has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kemppainen lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Kingston - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Kemppainen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chaos Kemppainen!
An out of breath Chaos Kemppainen thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
