Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Baron Welch (ranked 3714 p4p, 5260 weight class) and Tom Pebbleman (ranked 280 p4p, 333 weight class). Welch comes into the arena with Red Light blaring out of the sound system. Baron Welch has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tom Pebbleman!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pebbleman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Welch swivels and escapes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Welch.
Pebbleman with the counter takedown but Welch avoids it easily.
Welch feints and as Pebbleman raises his hands in defense, Welch changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Pebbleman looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Welch! Submission of the night perhaps?
