The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rice.
Victor Payne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Payne scores with a takedown into Rice's guard.
Rice is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Payne is controlling him.
Payne tries to free his leg and advance position but Rice is retaining full guard.

It looks like Percy Rice has been cut.

and Rice counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Rice counters with a left to the body.

Rice throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Payne stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Payne rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rice moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Rice throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Payne blocks it with crossed arms.

Payne gets through Rice's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Rice closes the distance and pushes Payne back into the cage.
Payne throws a punch but it's blocked by Rice.
Rice doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Payne keeps control of Rice as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Rice has had enough of the clinch but Payne keeps him there for the moment.
Payne prevents Rice from breaking the clinch.
Payne lands a hook that snaps the head of Rice backwards.

Rice is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

and Rice cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Payne lands an uppercut, right on the button! Rice tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
