This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Andy Ettish! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Tommy Carter!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Ettish wants to clinch.
And Carter tries to counter it with a takedown but Ettish pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Ettish moves into the clinch.
Ettish jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carter walks away with a smile on his face. Ettish gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ettish looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ettish moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ettish is trying to pull guard but Carter turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.

Carter turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Carter manages to end up in side control.

Ettish definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Ettish stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ettish drops back looking for a leg! Carter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carter manages to kick Ettish off! Ettish jumps back into Carter's guard.

Ettish has gone for a leg lock! Carter slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ettish's guard.

Carter might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ettish haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Ettish has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Carter should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ettish has tightened it up now! Carter should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
