This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 3 losses; Hiroshimo Sakamoto!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sakamoto goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dinker prevents it.
Sakamoto looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dinker is trying to pull guard but Sakamoto turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.

Sakamoto manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Dinker trying to control the position from guard on top but Sakamoto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sakamoto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dinker defends well.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sakamoto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dinker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sakamoto seems keen to control Dinker's posture.

Sakamoto lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Dinker is looking to control Sakamoto's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dinker avoid being mounted?

Sakamoto is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sakamoto uses his free foot to push down on Dinker's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dinker.

Sakamoto tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Dinker has given up his back here. Will Sakamoto look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Dinker is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
I really don't envy Dinker right now.

Sakamoto is working for a rear naked choke. Dinker is not defending it well and Sakamoto has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Dinker refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Dinker's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
