Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Mercer (ranked 2004 p4p, 2897 weight class) and Mo Lee (ranked 188 p4p, 241 weight class). Mercer comes to the cage accompanied by Why Can't We Be Friends by WAR. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Mercer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mo Lee!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lee backs up against the cage.
A punch combination from Mercer misses.
Lee lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Lee looks to clinch
and Mercer counters with a right hand to the body.
Lee tries to clinch but Mercer moves out of range.
Lee ducks right into an uppercut from Mercer.
Mercer turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Mo Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee misses with a low kick.
A little feinted left hand from Mercer on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lee takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A nice leg kick from Mercer, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mercer moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lee wants to clinch.
Mercer is looking to slow Lee down with leg kicks.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mercer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lee blocks a low kick nicely.
Mercer scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lee doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mercer makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Lee tries to clinch up
and Mercer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mercer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lee has closed the distance and engaged Mercer in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mercer breaks the clinch.
Lee fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lee is looking to clinch.
Lee fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mercer lands with a kick to the temple. Lee shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mercer lands a big head kick that sends Lee tumbling to the mat! Mercer takes a step backwards and waves Lee back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Lee is rocked!
Lee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lee is still on wobbly legs! Can Mercer finish him?
Bobby Mercer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mercer connects with a stiff jab that staggers Lee - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bobby Mercer!
