Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abro Brodan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azis Hasis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hasis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Manu Chao - King Of Bongo. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Abro Brodan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Azis Hasis! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hasis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brodan as he avoids it easily. Hasis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hasis looks gassed! Brodan swinging wilding here.
Brodan misses with a double jab.
Hasis fails with a takedown attempt. Abro Brodan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Azis Hasis. Hasis tries to close the distance and clinch but Brodan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Brodan looks to land a combination but Hasis avoids it well. Brodan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Hasis tries to clinch there but Brodan circles away.
Hasis wants to clinch up but Brodan keeps it at a distance. Brodan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hasis. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hasis looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hasis thows a big elbow that misses. Brodan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Brodan has his feet on Hasis's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hasis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hasis is keen to just control but Brodan is a slippery customer. Hasis throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hasis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brodan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Brodan is trying to stand up here but Hasis is controlling him well. Hasis misses with a head shot. Brodan uses the momentum to regain guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brodan wants to get back to his feet but Hasis is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hasis trying to control but Brodan is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hasis takes the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hasis changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brodan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Brodan throws a series of punches but Hasis avoids them all with ease. Abro Brodan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hasis fails with an attempt to clinch.

Hasis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hasis is looking to advance position but Brodan won't allow it. Hasis sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Brodan defending well though. Hasis seems to be working for a kimura but Brodan defends the submission attempt. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hasis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brodan's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hasis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brodan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hasis. Hasis wants to control but Brodan is keeping him busy. Hasis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hasis tries to clinch up. Brodan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hasis has managed to clinch.
Hasis utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Knees in the clinch landing for Hasis.
Hasis scores with a shoulder strike. Hasis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Brodan jumps guard but Hasis stands there with Brodan around his waist. Brodan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hasis has Brodan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hasis pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Brodan tumbling to the mat - Hasis dives into Brodan's guard. Hasis prevents Brodan from getting back to his feet. Brodan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hasis. Brodan keeping moving, preventing Hasis from controlling successfully. Hasis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hasis prevents Brodan from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Azis Hasis dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hasis doesn't manage to clinch there - Brodan circles away.
Abro Brodan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hasis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A combination from Brodan does no damage. Brodan misses with a double jab.
Hasis clinches with his opponent.
Hasis has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Brodan clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Hasis looking to break Brodan's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Brodan remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Hasis will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Brodan holding both Hasis 's hands and preventing any damage. Hasis is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Brodan has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Oooh a big shot gets through from Hasis. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

That's one minute gone in the round. Hasis is looking for a choke. Brodan gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Brodan manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard. Brodan wants to get up but he can't break Hasis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hasis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hasis tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hasis goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Brodan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hasis's guard! Nice work there by Brodan! Hasis working for a triangle but Brodan defends it easily.
Hasis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brodan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hasis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brodan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brodan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Brodan wants to stand but Hasis is controlling his posture from full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Brodan misses with a two punch combination.
Hasis clinches. Brodan is looking to break free of the clinch but Hasis has double underhooks. Hasis gets a trip takedown into half guard. Brodan is staying active underneath Hasis, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hasis prevents Brodan from standing back up.
Hasis is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Brodan to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Hasis throws and elbow that misses. Brodan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hasis's guard. Nice move by Brodan! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hasis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brodan's guard. Brodan wants to stand and escape but Hasis is having none of it. Brodan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hasis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brodan is keeping the position for now. Hasis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hasis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hasis trying to control but Brodan is working from the bottom. Hasis drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Brodan dives on top into guard. Hasis trying to keep a closed guard but Brodan is proving a slippery customer.

Hasis had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Brodan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hasis Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Brodan's back instead. Brodan fending off the submission attempt from Hasis.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Brodan holding both Hasis 's hands and preventing any damage. Brodan avoids the strikes from Hasis. Hasis tightening his grip on Brodan, looking for the choke. Hasis is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Brodan is defending well though. Hasis let's go of the attempt for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hasis struggling to land strikes to the head as Brodan covers up. Brodan defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Hasis's arms. Hasis wants to control but Brodan is keeping busy. Hasis has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Brodan has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Brodan trying to get back to his feet but Hasis is in full control for now. Hasis looking for the choke but no joy. Abro Brodan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Brodan manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Brodan.

That's going to take a lot out of Azis Hasis. No luck for Hasis with that takedown attempt. Brodan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hasis moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brodan misses with a wild combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hasis is defended easily by Brodan. Brodan leaves Hasis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brodan swinging wilding here.
Azis Hasis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hasis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Abro Brodan. I think Hasis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
