Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sami Juntunen (ranked 1560 p4p, 4103 weight class) and Thiago Castro (ranked 200 p4p, 421 weight class). Thiago Castro is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thiago Castro!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro is trying hard to land a takedown here. Juntunen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Castro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Juntunen's waist but Juntunen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Castro off to one side.
It looked like Juntunen was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Castro.

Juntunen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Castro swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Juntunen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Juntunen content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Castro has locked up a guillotine! Castro's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Juntunen is holding on here and Castro must be using up a lot of energy. Juntunen has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Castro gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
