Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Calloway (ranked 2094 p4p, 3014 weight class) and Aldo Leopold (ranked 259 p4p, 350 weight class). Jim Calloway has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Calloway! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aldo Leopold! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calloway drives through with a takedown into guard. Calloway with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Calloway chips away with some ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Calloway accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Leopold looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Calloway is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Calloway throws a big right hand that misses. Leopold trying to keep a closed guard but Calloway is proving a slippery customer.
Calloway is looking to work some ground and pound but Leopold has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Calloway throws an elbow that misses. Leopold uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Calloway's guard. Let's hope that Leopold has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Calloway is trying to get back to full guard. Calloway is looking to get back to full guard here but Leopold has managed to pass to side control instead. Leopold lands a nice forearm strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Calloway is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Calloway manages to work his way to half guard, despite Leopold's best efforts. Calloway tries to roll over but Leopold keeps him under control. Calloway tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Leopold looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Calloway is looking for a sweep. Leopold is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Calloway is holding on to half guard well. Leopold scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Calloway is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Calloway is trying to control but Leopold manages to pass to mount!

Calloway is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Calloway sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Leopold connects with a nice short shot to Calloway's temple. Leopold seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Calloway is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Calloway works his way to full guard. Good work. Leopold stopping the sweep attempt from Calloway. Calloway keeping moving, preventing Leopold from controlling successfully. Calloway looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Leopold puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Calloway trying to control from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Leopold blocks the strikes from Calloway.
Calloway wants to control but Leopold is keeping busy.

A close round but Aldo Leopold will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Leopold on the wrong end of a nice hook. Calloway lands with a straight right. Leopold didn't see that one coming. Calloway has closed the distance and engaged Leopold in a clinch.
Calloway lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Leopold or not. Leopold is trying to pull guard but Calloway turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Calloway has Leopold pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Calloway pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Leopold tumbling to the mat - Calloway dives into Leopold's guard. Calloway distracts Leopold with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Calloway loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Leopold is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Calloway throws a strike but Leopold rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Calloway is trying to get back to full guard. Leopold not landing any meaningful shots this time. Calloway has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Calloway is looking for a sweep. Calloway wants to control but Leopold is keeping busy and won't allow it. Calloway makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Calloway. Calloway is striking off his back. Leopold thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Calloway is trying to get back to full guard. Calloway has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Leopold is working away from the top position though. Calloway is trying to get back to full guard. Aldo Leopold has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leopold wants to lay and pray for a moment but Calloway keeps working. Calloway tries to roll over but Leopold keeps him under control. Ground and pound from Leopold. Calloway is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Leopold raining down shots from the mount! Calloway tries to hold on but Leopold postures up. Leopold pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
It looks like Jim Calloway has been cut. Calloway sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Leopold lands strikes from half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Calloway trying to hold on to Leopold's head to control him but Leopold postures up.

A close second round but Aldo Leopold will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Jim Calloway's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Leopold dives in and grabs Calloway's left leg, looking for a takedown. Calloway pushes down on Leopold's head and hops out. Calloway closes the distance and clinches. Calloway tries to throw a body punch but Leopold avoids it by throwing Calloway back against the cage. A short right from Calloway on the inside. It looks like Aldo Leopold has been cut. A short right hand to the side of the head by Calloway. Calloway scores with an uppercut up the middle. Calloway decides to pull guard. Calloway manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Leopold manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Calloway got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leopold has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Calloway has managed to get both his arms back between Leopold's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leopold avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Calloway wants to pass the guard but Leopold is keeping the position. Calloway keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Leopold's head. Calloway slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Calloway lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Leopold avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Calloway controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Calloway postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Jim Calloway has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Calloway advances position into side control! Calloway looking to control but instead Leopold has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Leopold is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Calloway scores with a couple of nice shots. Leopold is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Calloway pulls his head out easily. Calloway trying to control the action but Leopold is working from the bottom. Calloway working the head and body with strikes. Calloway missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leopold on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Calloway controlling the action here. Calloway is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Leopold can do to turn this around? Calloway wants to control but Leopold is keeping him busy. Calloway perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Calloway is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Leopold on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

That has opened up Aldo Leopold's cut even more.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Calloway lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Leopold! More strikes land and this one is all over! Calloway jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
