Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Scott Calvin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Motum Vakana!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calvin shoots in and drives through. Vakana sprawls well.
Calvin looks for a takedown but Vakana sprawls well.
Calvin misses with a takedown attempt - Vakana sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Calvin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vakana closes the distance and clinches.
Vakana lands a nice uppercut.
Calvin tries for a takedown. No joy.
Vakana lands with a light punch inside.
Vakana is pressed up against the cage. Calvin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Vakana down to the mat. Vakana avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Calvin tries to keep at a distance but Vakana has taken the fight into the clinch.
Vakana lands with a left to the head.

Calvin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Vakana gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Calvin goes for a takedown attempt but Vakana pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Vakana lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Calvin drops his hands momentarily and Vakana takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Calvin is rocked!
Vakana stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vakana wants it to stay on the feet.
Oh Calvin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vakana gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Vakana lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Vakana scores with a nice hook to the head.
Vakana creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Calvin with a big uppercut! Calvin tries to clinch up but Vakana pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Calvin to the mat! Calvin covers up and Vakana unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Motum Vakana!
Motum Vakana was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
