This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Sub Zero! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Darden Kane!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Kane looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zero is fending him off so far but Kane persists. Nope, Zero circles away and we're back to standing.

Kane is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Zero can't fight it off and eventually Kane manages to take the fight to the floor. Zero looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kane got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zero has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kane has managed to get both his arms back between Zero's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kane is staying active underneath Zero, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kane is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Zero gets his way!
