This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Maurice Lemaire! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Hiroshimo Sakamoto! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Lemaire swats away the attempt to clinch by Sakamoto. Sakamoto is looking to clinch. Lemaire has closed the distance and engaged Sakamoto in a clinch.

That's ten minutes gone in the round. Sakamoto moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Lemaire has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sakamoto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sakamoto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lemaire's guard. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Lemaire is in trouble. That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Sakamoto trying to control. Sakamoto trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Lemaire doesn't escape. Sakamoto keeps control of the position as Lemaire tries to break free.
Lemaire fending off the submission attempt from Sakamoto. Lemaire is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Sakamoto is looking to control Lemaire but Lemaire is wriggling around and keeping busy. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
