The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Ieyasu closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sansho did well to prevent Ieyasu getting side control. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Ieyasu (2) vs (0) Sansho

We've been hearing good reports from Ieyasu's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Ieyasu has control of Sansho's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sansho regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Sansho is working to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
