Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez throws a good cross that connects.
Alvarez misses the shot to the body.
Alvarez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Alvarez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ruiz momentarily.
An inside leg kick lands from Ruiz.
Ruiz falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Alvarez counter with a right hand.
Ruiz is looking to clinch but Alvarez is avoiding it.
Eddie Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvarez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ruiz has time to react.
Alvarez throws a shot from downtown. Ruiz moves away and avoids it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ruiz closes the distance but Alvarez moves to the side
and Ruiz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Alvarez grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Ruiz takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Alvarez cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Eddie Alvarez decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
