Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Midget Mode Jones (ranked 2314 p4p, 4471 weight class) and Tiago Martelo (ranked 202 p4p, 316 weight class). Midget Mode Jones had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martelo misses with a two punch combination.
Jones attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Martelo wants to get back to full guard.
Jones has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Martelo is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Martelo avoid being mounted?
Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Martelo tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.
Martelo keeps trying to improve his position.

Martelo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones lying in Martelo's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Martelo decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Jones taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
