The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Compton lands a really nice looking cross but Da Silva seems unphased.
Compton lands with a hook. Da Silva tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Compton enables Da Silva to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Compton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Compton is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Da Silva presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Compton wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
