Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Barella (ranked 1888 p4p, 1669 weight class) and Koa Bouddi (ranked 130 p4p, 121 weight class). Barella's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Prova del 9. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Sonny Barella!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Koa Bouddi!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Barella.
Bouddi blocks a leg kick.
Barella tries to work over Bouddi's front leg with a kick but Bouddi checks it.
Barella fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Barella throws a series of punches but Bouddi avoids them all with ease.
Barella throws a right hand that Bouddi ducks under and follows up with a left that Bouddi also avoids with ease.

and Bouddi counters with a head kick. That will keep Barella thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Barella moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Barella takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barella shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bouddi pinned against the cage. Bouddi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Bouddi counters with a good, hard body kick but Barella shrugs it off.

Barella dives in and grabs Bouddi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bouddi pushes down on Barella's head and hops out.
Bouddi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barella.

Barella tries to bum rush Bouddi with a series of wild strikes but Bouddi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bouddi connects with a high kick.
A jab from Bouddi does it's job there.
Barella moves into the clinch.
Bouddi told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Bouddi lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Bouddi has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Bouddi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Barella moves in looking to clinch but Bouddi pushes him off.

Barella shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bouddi as he jumps to the side.

Barella connects with a solid leg kick.
Bouddi punishes Barella's body with a nice straight punch.
Barella loads up on a big right hand but Bouddi slips the punch.

Bouddi thuds his shin into the meat of Barella's side.
Barella rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bouddi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Barella walks into a stiff left hand from Bouddi.
Barella fails with a takedown attempt.
Bouddi appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Bouddi connects with a solid leg kick.
A slow jab from Bouddi misses its intended target.
No joy there for Barella, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Barella gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Barella takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Barella tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bouddi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bouddi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bouddi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Barella momentarily.
Bouddi lands with a kick to the ribs.
Bouddi lands a really nice looking cross but Barella seems unphased.
Barella connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Barella will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Bouddi lands with a kick to the ribs.
Barella closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bouddi to the mat! Bouddi manages to get full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Barella moves forwards but Bouddi connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Barella shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Barella was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Barella tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barella has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bouddi sneaks back into half guard.

Barella tries to stand but can't do so whilst Bouddi controls his leg.
Barella is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bouddi is just riding it out for now. Barella eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barella is looking to stall here but Bouddi recovers full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Barella tries to free his leg and advance position but Bouddi is retaining full guard.
Bouddi is pulling down on Barella's head to control his posture.

Koa Bouddi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Bouddi throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Bouddi looks to land a right hand but Barella moved out of range.
Barella changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bouddi tries to avoid it but Barella manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bouddi to the ground. Bouddi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Barella throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bouddi's waist but Bouddi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barella off to one side.
Bouddi's corner calls for a 1-2. Bouddi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Barella takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Bouddi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Barella.
Koa Bouddi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bouddi pounces like a tiger and cracks Barella with a vicious hook! Barella is down but not out! Bouddi follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Koa Bouddi seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
