Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cael Randall (ranked 4801 p4p, 3697 weight class) and Jun Romero (ranked 505 p4p, 447 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Cael Randall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jun Romero! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Romero was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Romero working the head and body with strikes. Romero controls the position. Romero is working Randall over with some ground and pound from side control. Romero content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. A control attempt from Randall but he's now mounted! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Romero seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Romero is thwarting Randall's attempts to control the position. Romero lands with a punch from half guard. And that is the end of the round. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Romero can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Romero seems content to control from guard here. Romero feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Randall is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Romero stays in close to Randall's body and controls the position. Randall has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Romero is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Randall. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Romero creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jun Romero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Randall wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Nice shot lands for Randall. Romero shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Randall sprawls well. Randall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Romero gets slowly back to his feet. Randall scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Randall tests Romero's chin there with a solid looking shot. Randall misses with a double jab.
Romero shoots in but Randall avoids the takedown attempt easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Randall jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Randall enables Romero to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Randall manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Romero slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romero distracts Randall with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Romero content to stall in guard here. Randall looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Romero stands up over Randall, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Randall is trying to keep Romero in close.

Romero takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Randall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Romero pulls his head out easily. Romero stalling.

Well, if Romero is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Romero misses with a takedown letting Randall counter with a right hand. Cael Randall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jun Romero. Romero scores with a takedown into Randall's guard. Randall trying to keep a closed guard but Romero is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Randall can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Romero controls the pace. Randall isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Romero stacks Randall on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Romero! Romero just content to control the position. Randall is looking for a sweep. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A lull in the action here.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cael Randall. I think Romero has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jun Romero! A less than humble Jun Romero misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
