Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christian Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evgeny Drakul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slaughter comes into the arena with The Crown - World Below blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christian Slaughter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evgeny Drakul! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drakul avoids a punch combination nicely.
Slaughter pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Drakul showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Slaughter.
Drakul takes a swing at Slaughter's ribcage but misses. Drakul drops his hands momentarily and Slaughter takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Drakul is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Slaughter. Slaughter avoids the body shot from Drakul.
Drakul throws a big shot that misses. Slaughter throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Drakul swings and misses with a shot to the body letting Slaughter counter with a right hand. Drakul tries to clinch there but Slaughter circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Drakul throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Evgeny Drakul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Slaughter jabs Drakul right on the nose. Drakul blinks but takes it well. Slaughter throws a series of punches but Drakul moves out of range. Slaughter fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Slaughter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Drakul. A combination from Slaughter does no damage. Drakul doesn't manage to clinch there - Slaughter circles away.
Christian Slaughter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Drakul throws an overhand right that lands on Slaughter's shoulder, as Slaughter tries to avoid the shot. Slaughter misses with a two punch combination.
Slaughter misses the shot to the body. Drakul comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Slaughter scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Evgeny Drakul has been cut. Drakul tries to clinch but Slaughter moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slaughter throws a jab but it's blocked by Drakul. Drakul takes a swing at Slaughter's ribcage but misses. Slaughter avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Slaughter connects with a crisp jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Slaughter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Drakul with a poor takedown and Slaughter counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Drakul is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Slaughter rather than just go for the knockout. Slaughter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drakul manages to avoid it. A big right from Drakul misses. Drakul slips a jab from Slaughter. Slaughter looks to land a right hand but Drakul moved out of range. Slaughter slips under a jab from Drakul. Drakul throws a shot from downtown. Slaughter moves away and avoids it. Drakul throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Drakul is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slaughter lands a body shot.

Slaughter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Drakul. Slaughter avoids the body shot from Drakul.
Slaughter ducks under a wild hook from Drakul. Slaughter misses with the combination.
Slaughter thows a body shot but no joy. Drakul misses the body punch and Drakul takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Drakul shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Slaughter is trying to defend but Drakul finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Slaughter moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slaughter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Slaughter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Slaughter keeping full guard, as Drakul tries to pass. Drakul drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Drakul jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Drakul thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Slaughter trying to control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Slaughter throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Drakul displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Slaughter throws out the jab. Drakul throws a predictable looking body shot
and Slaughter counters with a right hand to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christian Slaughter dominated that round. The cut man is working on Evgeny Drakul's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Drakul throws a shot from downtown. Slaughter moves away and avoids it. Slaughter throws a series of punches but Drakul avoids them all with ease. Drakul fails in his attempt to clinch. Drakul slips a straight right by Slaughter. Drakul throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Slaughter slips under a jab. Drakul jabbing away but nothing is landing. Slaughter lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Slaughter. Slaughter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drakul.

and Slaughter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Drakul takes one to the chin there. Drakul fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Slaughter manages to avoid it. Drakul has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Drakul there as he acknowledges the shot.
Drakul is rocked! Drakul is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drakul closes the distance and clinches up with Slaughter, looking for a takedown. Drakul pushes Slaughter against the cage but Slaughter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Drakul looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Slaughter slips under a jab from Drakul. Drakul thows a body shot but no joy. Drakul tries to clinch up and Slaughter makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Drakul throws a hook but Slaughter blocks it. Drakul changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Slaughter uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Drakul has time to react. Nice uppercut there from Slaughter. Drakul is still on wobbly legs! Can Slaughter finish him? Slaughter changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Drakul seems to have recovered his senses.

and Slaughter counters with a big right hand! Oh Drakul is in trouble here! Slaughter follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
