Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Khamzat Magomedov (ranked 1079 p4p, 1125 weight class) and Viktor Mikidropov (ranked 130 p4p, 133 weight class). Mikidropov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Danger. Viktor Mikidropov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Khamzat Magomedov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Viktor Mikidropov!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov shoots in looking for a takedown. Mikidropov tries to sprawl out of it but Magomedov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mikidropov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Magomedov shoots in but Mikidropov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mikidropov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mikidropov lands in his opponent's guard.
Mikidropov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mikidropov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mikidropov content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Magomedov looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Magomedov has his foot on Mikidropov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mikidropov works his way back into a safe position though.
Magomedov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mikidropov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mikidropov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Magomedov is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Mikidropov has his hands clasped together but Magomedov extends and breaks Mikidropov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Magomedov.
