The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson closes the distance and clinches.
Anderson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Anderson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Carvalho has Anderson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Anderson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Carvalho tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Anderson defends well and Carvalho ends up having to push Anderson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Carvalho has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Anderson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Carvalho tries to keep control of the position but Anderson is staying busy.

Carvalho has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Anderson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Carvalho is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Anderson won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Carvalho off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Eduardo Carvalho!
