Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Tepes lV (ranked 1904 p4p, 2693 weight class) and Michael Fochi (ranked 246 p4p, 325 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tepes lV pivots, looking for a leg kick but Fochi is out of range and Tepes lV settles back down.
The fighters circling - Fochi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Fochi takes a swing at Tepes lV's ribcage but misses.
Fochi misses with a leg kick.
Tepes lV steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fochi.

Tepes lV lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fochi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tepes lV moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Michael Fochi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tepes lV takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fochi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tepes lV defends well and Fochi ends up having to push Tepes lV into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Fochi tries to move to mount but Tepes lV blocks the move with his legs.
Fochi swings around for an armbar but Tepes lV sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Fochi's guard.
Tepes lV seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tepes lV is looking to work some ground and pound but Fochi has wrist control.
Fochi wants to hit a sweep here but Tepes lV passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Fochi there!

A close round but Michael Fochi will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Fochi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tepes lV manages to avoid it.
