Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Davdio Branko (ranked 1603 p4p, 1554 weight class) and Tyres Widforss (ranked 139 p4p, 134 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Tyres Widforss enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 33 - 0, fighting out of London, Davdio Branko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyres Widforss!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Widforss gets caught flat footed, as Branko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Branko avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Widforss is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Branko is aware though and is defending well.

Branko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Branko advances to half guard.
Widforss is looking to get back to full guard here but Branko has managed to pass to side control instead.

Branko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Branko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Widforss is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Branko thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Branko is pushing down on Widforss's leg trying to pass to half guard. Widforss is fighting to maintain full guard but Branko has managed to sneak the leg through.

Branko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Widforss doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Branko.

Branko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Widforss felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Branko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Widforss is in trouble now - Branko has advanced to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Branko goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Widforss is on top in guard.
Widforss throws a big right hand that misses.
Branko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Widforss's guard.


Branko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Branko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
