And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 30 wins and 40 losses; Filmore Everett!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Everett tries to close the distance and clinch but Garcia swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Garcia definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Garcia moves into the clinch.
Garcia is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Everett to keep the fight standing.
Everett is looking for a takedown.
Everett successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Garcia looking to improve position, pressing down on Everett's thigh with his hand. Everett seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Garcia paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Garcia's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Everett picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
