The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Werner pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Santana back to the ropes. Werner follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Sloppy strikes from Santana. Those never looked like landing.
Werner lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Werner sends Santana crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Werner is motioning to the referee to let Santana up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Santana is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Santana throws a body shot but no joy.
Oh Santana is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Santana really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Werner has cracked Santana with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Werner lands another huge swinging hook and Santana tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Santana, before Werner can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Brice Werner!
