Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy Hunter (ranked 4929 p4p, 3666 weight class) and Maki Homma (ranked 477 p4p, 413 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roy Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Maki Homma!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Homma closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hunter misses with a hook.
Homma wants to counter the offense by Hunter and move into the clinch position.
Hunter throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Homma drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hunter defends it well.
A jab from Hunter finds it's way through Homma's defenses.
Homma moves away from the strike by Hunter.
We've been told by Hunter's head coaches at Soul Supremacy Rio that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hunter throws a right and a left that Homma avoids nicely.
Homma wants to counter the offense by Hunter and move into the clinch position.
Jab by Hunter.
Homma with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hunter to score with a decent uppercut.
Homma is rocked!
Hunter misses with an uppercut. Homma saw that one coming.
Hunter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hunter throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Homma crashing down! Homma tries to stagger back to his feet but Hunter just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Homma asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roy Hunter!
