Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kino Martinez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Maximo Butler!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Butler has his takedown stuffed

and Martinez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Butler is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Martinez presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Butler is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Martinez is defending well for now.
Butler wants a takedown but no success here.
Butler is trying to force a seperation but Martinez has the dominant position.
Butler looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Martinez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Martinez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Butler is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Martinez pulls guard effortlessly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Butler stops Martinez from standing up.
Butler throws a big right hand that misses.
Martinez wants to stand up but Butler is controlling him.
Butler wants to control from the top but Martinez keeps moving.

Butler is standing up over Martinez. Martinez looks to escape but Butler dives into side control.

Martinez bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Martinez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Maximo Butler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Butler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martinez as he jumps to the side.
Kino Martinez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximo Butler.
Martinez misses with a few strikes there.
Martinez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Butler is trying hard to land a takedown here. Martinez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

A punch combination from Butler misses.
Butler closes the distance but Martinez moves to the side
and Martinez counters with a stiff right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Martinez stuffs the takedown.
Butler throws a series of punches but Martinez moves out of range.
Martinez appears to be looking for a big counter.
Martinez scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Butler throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Martinez.
Butler misses with an uppercut.
It looked like Martinez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Butler moves out of range of the leg kick from Martinez.
Butler with a lazy takedown attempt
and Martinez counters with a three punch combo that has Butler backing up. Butler nods at Martinez to acknowledge the strikes.
Butler misses with a right hand
and Martinez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Butler tries for a takedown but Martinez circles away easily
and Martinez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Butler checks the leg kick.
Butler gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Martinez counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Butler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Butler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Butler throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Martinez counters with a stiff right hand.
Butler looks winded!
Butler throws a leg kick that is checked
and Butler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Martinez fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Butler is out of range.
Martinez sets himself, and Butler steps forward looking for the clinch! Martinez avoids it this time.
Martinez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Butler is rocked!
Martinez throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Butler colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Martinez as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Butler is left battered and dazed whilst Martinez and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kino Martinez!
