Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mariusz Pudzianowski (ranked 22631 p4p, 24341 weight class) and John Albertson (ranked 487 p4p, 483 weight class). The key to victory for Mariusz Pudzianowski has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 84 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Mariusz Pudzianowski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, John Albertson! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pudzianowski connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Albertson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Albertson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Pudzianowski looks like he's trying to stand up.
Albertson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Albertson is nestled in close to Pudzianowski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Albertson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Pudzianowski!

Pudzianowski pushes Albertson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Albertson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Albertson lands a decent elbow from side control. Albertson passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Pudzianowski! Albertson takes a little breather and maintains the position. Albertson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Pudzianowski is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Albertson controlling the pace for now. Let's hope that Albertson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Pudzianowski tries to lock up and control but Albertson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Albertson controlling the position easily from mount. Pudzianowski is trying to get back to his feet but can't. BOOM! Albertson connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Albertson looking to control but Pudzianowski is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Albertson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Pudzianowski turns into him and now he's in Albertson's guard.

Pudzianowski not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Albertson wants to control from the top but Pudzianowski keeps moving. Albertson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Albertson connects with a couple of short punches. Pudzianowski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
John Albertson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Albertson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Albertson won't allow Pudzianowski to get back to his feet. Albertson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Albertson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Albertson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
