This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 54 wins and 24 losses; Jackson Hole! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 68 wins and 50 losses; Sirus Hughes! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Hole fails with the takedown.
Hole bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Hole (4) vs (0) Hughes Hughes is not content to let Hole control the position. Hole taking a breather here. Hole trying to control the position but Hughes is working away.
Hole tries for a kimura but Hughes is defending well. Hughes is trying to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hughes manages to get back to half guard. Hughes is trying to maintain the position but Hole is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The fighters are battling for position here. Hughes manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Hughes is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hole is defending well though. Hughes let's go of the attempt for now. Hughes controlling well, preventing Hole from escaping the position.

Hughes is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Hole has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Hughes is hanging on to Hole's back as he tries to escape.
Hughes gets his hands free as Hole looks to control. Hughes controlling well, preventing Hole from escaping the position.
Hole wants to control his opponent's hands but Hughes gets his hands free. I really don't envy Hole right now.

Hole is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hughes gets his way!

 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Hole moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Hole tries to advance to mount but Hughes denies him. Hole trying to control the position but Hughes is working away. Hole working away. Hole staying calm. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
