Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rohan Peters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Roberts!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Peters lands a really nice looking cross but Roberts seems unphased.
Peters fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Roberts shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Peters sprawls well. Peters wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Roberts gets slowly back to his feet.
Peters blocks a head kick by Roberts.
Roberts tries to clinch up.
Roberts doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Roberts takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A left and a right from Peters both land. Nice combination.
Roberts with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Peters to score with a decent uppercut.
Peters takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Peters thuds his right hand into Roberts's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Peters's corner calls for a 1-2. Peters obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A left and a right from Peters both land. Nice combination.
Roberts is rocked!
Peters steps in with a hook that catches Roberts right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Peters follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Roberts looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rohan Peters!
