Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremiah Hobbs!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herny closes the distance but Hobbs moves to the side
and Hobbs counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hobbs lands with a punch from half guard.
Hobbs thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Hobbs scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Hobbs working the head and body with strikes.
Herny wants to control but Hobbs is keeping busy.
Hobbs seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hobbs looks to land a strike but Herny avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Herny definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hobbs throws an elbow that misses. Herny uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hobbs's guard. Nice move by Herny!
Hobbs is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Herny is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Hobbs is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Herny moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Hobbs.
Hobbs tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Herny lands an elbow.
Hobbs is trying to strike from the bottom but Herny has passed into full mount.
Herny in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Hobbs keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Herny gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Herny looks to clinch
and Hobbs counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Herny!
Hobbs is trying to ground and pound but Herny uses the momentary lack of control by Hobbs to regain half guard.
Hobbs is thwarting Herny's attempts to control the position.

Hobbs misses with a head shot. Herny uses the momentum to regain guard.
Hobbs throws a strike but Herny rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Herny gets to his feet. Hobbs looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Herny scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Herny tries to clinch but Hobbs moves out of range.
And Hobbs tries to counter it with a takedown but Herny pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Hobbs counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Herny has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hobbs off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Herny lands a left and a right that sends Hobbs crashing to the canvas! Herny dives into mount looking to finish!
Hobbs is rocked!
It looks like Jeremiah Hobbs has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Herny is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Hobbs is still on wobbly legs! Can Herny finish him?
Alexis Herny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crack! Herny connects with the perfect overhand right and Hobbs falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Herny!
