The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thibodeaux has Talbain up against the ropes in a clinch.
Talbain tries to land knees in the clinch but Thibodeaux avoids the damage to the body.
Thibodeaux creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Talbain's defenses.
It looks like Jon Talbain has been cut.

Thibodeaux lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Thibodeaux lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Talbain backwards.
Talbain tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Thibodeaux's elbow.

Thibodeaux is pushing Talbain up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fortune Thibodeaux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Talbain takes an elbow to the temple.
The cut above Jon Talbain's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Thibodeaux pushes Talbain against the ropes and as he bounces back off them, cracks him with a big elbow that drops him to the mat! You don't see that very often! Will he manage to get back to his feet? 3,4,5,6 is the count... and he's up! He seems OK; probably just in shock that he was dropped by an elbow that he obviously didn't see coming.

Talbain throws a body kick that misses.
Talbain looks for the body kick but Thibodeaux saw that one coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thibodeaux lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice body punch from Thibodeaux.
Thibodeaux lands with a slapping head kick.
Thibodeaux throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Thibodeaux looks low and kicks high, catching Talbain right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!
Jon Talbain's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
