Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hinds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deiter Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deiter Myers is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dan Hinds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Deiter Myers!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hinds swivels and escapes.
Hinds fails with a takedown attempt.
Hinds tries to clinch there but Myers circles away.

Myers clinches up against the cage.

Hinds decides to pull guard.
Myers chips away with some ground and pound.
Myers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hinds works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Myers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hinds looking for a guillotine here but Myers defends easily.
Myers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hinds works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hinds has his hands on Myers's head, controlling the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Myers is pushing Hinds up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Myers wants to improve his position but Hinds is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Myers takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hinds prevents Myers from getting the reversal.

and Myers counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hinds tries to strike from the bottom.
Myers postures up in Hinds's guard and throws a big left but Hinds blocks it.
Hinds avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hinds bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Myers's guard.
Hinds wants to control from the top but Myers keeps moving.
Hinds trying to stand up but can't free himself from Myers's guard.
Myers has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hinds has passed into side control.
Myers is looking for a sweep.
Myers is not content to let Hinds control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Deiter Myers dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Myers closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hinds wants to take a breather but Myers is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Myers wants to get up but he can't break Hinds's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Myers thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

You can see the frustration on Hinds's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Deiter Myers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fight stays on the outside here - Myers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Myers throws a head kick that Hinds semi-blocks.

Myers rushes Hinds and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hinds tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Myers's elbow.

Hinds throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Deiter Myers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Myers wants to control but Hinds postures up.

Myers tries to buck Hinds off but Hinds is having none of it.
Hinds wants to lay and pray for a moment but Myers keeps working.
Dan Hinds has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Deiter Myers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Myers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
