This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 4 losses; Harry Kim! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 122 wins and 82 losses; Kurt Diesel! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Diesel looks for a takedown but Kim sprawls well. Diesel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kim pinned against the cage. Kim gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kim drops down looking for a counter takedown but Diesel sprawls and moves away.
Diesel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kim did well to prevent Diesel getting side control. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Kim (0) vs (2) Diesel We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kim is positioning himself well to prevent Diesel advancing to mount. Diesel prevents Kim from improving his position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kim is looking to control Diesel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kim avoid being mounted? Kim's coaches at The House Of Pain have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Kim tries to get to full guard but Diesel has control of the leg. Kim won't allow Diesel to pass to mount. Kim wants to control but Diesel is keeping busy.

Diesel is thwarting Kim's attempts to control the position. Kim has a hand on Diesel's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Diesel takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Score +3 for passing guard: Kim (0) vs (5) Diesel

Diesel controlling the pace for now. Kim controls the position. Kim tries to control the position but Diesel now has his back.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Diesel controlling the position well here. Kim rolled but Diesel kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Diesel keeps control of the position as Kim tries to break free.
Kim just trying to survive but Diesel is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Kim is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Diesel controlling well, preventing Kim from escaping the position.

 That's six minutes gone in the round. Diesel gets his hands free as Kim looks to control. Diesel biding his time, looking for the opening.

 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Kim trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. What can Kim do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Diesel doesn't have the hooks in and Kim manages to turn into his guard.
Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Kim (2) vs (8) Diesel Kim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diesel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
 That's eight minutes gone in the round. Diesel is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Kim tries to free his leg and advance position but Diesel is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diesel keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully. Diesel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Kim (2) vs (10) Diesel Kim controlling the position well.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round. Kim is trying to get back to full guard. Diesel looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
 That's ten minutes gone in the round. It looks like Diesel might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Kim wants to get back to full guard. Kim desperately trying to maintain half guard. Kim wants to control but Diesel is keeping busy and won't allow it.
 That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Kim is holding on to half guard well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kim is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Diesel tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kim knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
 That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Kim is looking to improve his position.
Diesel looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kim keeping control of the position. Diesel with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
 That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Kim wants to improve his position but Diesel is controlling well.
Diesel is controlling the pace.
Kim gets full guard.
 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Kim not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kim looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Kim is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kim is really struggling to control Diesel but he's trying to hold on to the position.
