Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christopher Bridges ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven Malloy! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bridges scores with a takedown into Malloy's guard. Bridges controls from within his opponent's guard. Bridges being controlled here momentarily. Malloy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bridges . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Malloy wants to get back to his feet but Bridges is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bridges looking to pass the guard. Bridges content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Malloy can't keep his opponent in guard - Bridges advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Malloy is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bridges is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Malloy sees it coming and defends easily. Malloy throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Bridges is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Malloy has managed to free his arm - good work. Bridges wants to free his trapped foot but Malloy is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bridges drops his hands momentarily and Malloy takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Malloy looks to land a combination but Bridges avoids it well. Bridges is trying hard to land a takedown here. Malloy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Steven Malloy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Malloy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bridges 's head.
It looks like Christopher Bridges has been cut. Bridges walks into a left hand. Malloy stuffs the takedown attempt from Bridges . Bridges gets slowly back to his feet. Malloy clobbers Bridges with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bridges drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Bridges is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bridges leaves his chin hanging out and Malloy seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Bridges crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Steven Malloy!
