Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Jose (ranked 2801 p4p, 3408 weight class) and Matas Fialkowska (ranked 306 p4p, 364 weight class). Fialkowska has chosen Persist - Warrior as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Matas Fialkowska enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Jose! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Matas Fialkowska! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fialkowska misses with a hook
and Jose counters with a left to the body. Fialkowska clinches up with Jose and pushes him back against the cage. Jose leaning his opponent against the cage. Jose controlling the action here for a moment.
Fialkowska tries to circle away but Jose has him pinned against the cage. Fialkowska blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fialkowska gets a trip takedown into half guard. Fialkowska thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jose's head. Fialkowska lands with a punch from half guard. Jose avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fialkowska. Jose on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jose tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jose on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jose preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Fialkowska throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jose trying to control from the bottom.
Fialkowska is nestled in close to Jose, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Fialkowska winds up and cracks Jose with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Fialkowska not landing any meaningful shots this time. Fialkowska wants to take a breather but Jose is having none of it. Fialkowska scoring with strikes to the body and head. Fialkowska has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jose has hold of Fialkowska's hands but Fialkowska slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Fialkowska takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Fialkowska thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jose's head. Jose is breathing heavily. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fialkowska connects with a nice short shot to Jose's temple.
Jose is rocked! Fialkowska lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Jose! More strikes land and this one is all over! Fialkowska jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
