Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Heung Min Choi (ranked 603 p4p, 896 weight class) and Raja Guru (ranked 61 p4p, 82 weight class). Choi comes to the cage accompanied by Black Eyed Bruiser. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Heung Min Choi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raja Guru!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choi throws a big shot that misses.
Guru tries to land a body kick
enabling Choi to counter with a crisp jab.
Choi is looking to slow Guru down with leg kicks.
Choi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A little jabbing left from Guru on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Guru rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Choi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Choi jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Guru let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Choi throws a right hand that Guru ducks under and follows up with a left that Guru also avoids with ease.
Guru moves out of range as Choi strikes.

Choi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gurus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Guru replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Choi blocks it well.

Guru ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Choi moves away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Guru is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Choi rather than just go for the knockout.

and Choi counters with a three punch combo that has Guru backing up. Guru nods at Choi to acknowledge the strikes.

That was a close second round but I would say that Heung Min Choi will probably get the nod.

Raja Guru has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Choi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Guru. That did some damage!

Well Choi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
