And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 3 losses; Hiroshimo Sakamoto! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Hobbs darts in looking for a takedown but Sakamoto gets double underhooks and turns Hobbs into the ropes. Sakamoto pulls guard effortlessly. Sakamoto is trying to hold Hobbs in close to prevent damage but Hobbs has managed to pass into half guard.
Hobbs passes the guard and advances to mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Hobbs (3) vs (0) Sakamoto Hobbs looking to control but Sakamoto is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hobbs content just to control the position here. Sakamoto defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hobbs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hobbs swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
