This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 3 losses; Mark Spagnolo!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Tomás darts in looking for a takedown but Spagnolo gets double underhooks and turns Tomás into the ropes.

Tomás's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Spagnolo is holding on here and Tomás must be using up a lot of energy. Spagnolo has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Tomás gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
