This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Tommy Gavin! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 14 wins and 16 losses; Toyotomi Ieyasu!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Gavin closes the distance and pushes Ieyasu back into the ropes.
Ieyasu is trying to pull guard but Gavin turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.
Gavin gets control of Ieyasu's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gavin will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Ieyasu wants to control from the top but Gavin keeps moving.

Gavin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ieyasu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ieyasu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ieyasu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ieyasu has hold of Gavin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gavin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
