Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grant Hyde (ranked 718 p4p, 876 weight class) and Jean Arlin (ranked 92 p4p, 109 weight class). Hyde comes to the cage accompanied by Darkside-Neoni. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jean Arlin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grant Hyde!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Arlin!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arlin looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Hyde connects with a looping right hand.
A low kick from Hyde is predictable there
and Hyde takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Arlin lands with a nice body punch.
Arlin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hyde.
Hyde fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Arlin.
Arlin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hyde lands a nice shot that snaps Arlin's head back.
Hyde gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Arlin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hyde throws a leg kick
and Arlin counters with a straight right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hyde ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Arlin moves away.
Arlin doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Hyde is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Arlin.
Hyde uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Arlin.
Arlin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Arlin has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Hyde throws a looping overhand right but Arlin ducks down to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Arlin is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Hyde throws a leg kick

Arlin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hyde moves away from the strike by Arlin.
Arlin tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hyde scores with a jab. Arlin acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Arlin misses with an uppercut
and Hyde counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hyde thows a left - swing and a miss!
Arlin avoids the head kick by Hyde.
Arlin checks the leg kick.
Arlin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hyde.
Grant Hyde seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hyde jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Arlin doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Hyde has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 3Band MMA in the buildup to the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Arlin ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hyde pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Good exchange - Hyde coming out on top.
Hyde scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Arlin throws a jab when Hyde was well out of range.
Hyde scores with the left hand. Arlin knows he should have avoided that one.
Nice shot by Hyde.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Hyde.
Arlin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hyde circles away quickly and effectively.
Arlin throws a jab but it's blocked by Hyde.
Hyde scores with a kick to the midsection.
Hyde looks to land a left hand but Arlin moved out of range nicely.

A jab from Hyde does it's job there.
Good leg kick by Hyde.
Hyde throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Arlin crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Grant Hyde!
Grant Hyde gave a mention to Kersikov's Vitamin Clinic (160) in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
